HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

During this unique time in our history, churches have been forced to think outside of the box and make new and exciting changes to reach more people for Christ. We are thrilled one of these changes has led to the decision of combining our two churches (Grace Church and The Station Church) for a season of time to worship under one roof...or sky! We hope you will join us in this journey of reaching our family, friends, coworkers and neighbors for the Kingdom of God. We are better and stronger together.

We are continuing to meet outside on our church property every Sunday during the month of July for one service at 10am.

We will observe social distancing guidelines before, during, and after each service. Everyone will be asked to observe the 6-ft rule at all times.

  • People will have two options when they arrive:
    • To park and remain in their vehicle and tune into our FM radio frequency while still being present on the church property.
    • To bring their own lawn chairs and sit outside in the open air while maintaining social distancing.
  • Our playground will be available at 9:45am on a first-come basis with Grace Kids Ministry supervision for children who are potty trained through age 8. We will also distribute Grace Kids bags filled with activities that coincide with our services and snacks if you choose to keep your kids with you!
  • The service will continue to streamed LIVE on Facebook, YouTube, our Grace App and website for anyone wishing to participate online.
  • If you’re sick, we ask that you please stay home and participate online.
  • If you’re in the high-risk category, please use your discretion knowing you have the option of worshiping online. But also know, we miss you and our "stay in your car" option is a great and safe option for you to return to church while staying completely safe and distanced.
  • Our bathrooms will be open and available for use. We’ve sprayed and disinfected the entire building, and we will continue to implement environmental cleanliness and sanitation practices. This includes disinfecting door handles, countertops, chairs, and other frequently-touched surfaces, etc. Also, hand sanitizer will be available at every entrance.

If you need prayer, text GracePrayer to 97000, call our church office (760-433-9922) or email our Prayer Team at prayer@gracesd.tv We look forward to worshiping and praying together in our building and online!

Monday, May 63, 2020 WHAT'S NEXT FOR GRACE?

Dear Church,

We pray you are well. When the Covid-19 pandemic began, we had no idea how long it would last. It has now been 11 weeks since we stopped having corporate gatherings. During this difficult time we have seen the goodness and faithfulness of God in many ways. We have reached thousands of people that we would have never reached through social media and digital platforms. We have stretched our mentality about how church should and can be done. We have ministered to our community in ways that we never have before. Through it all, God has strengthened His Church and we believe we will all come out of this season better and stronger.

That said, many are asking what church life will look like on the other side of this crisis. When will we gather again? What precautions will we take? Will it feel normal? Trust me, every leader in the Christian world is asking the same questions, and the answers seem to change day by day, and week by week.

Through much prayer, spiritual counsel and legal counsel, we have decided to set our “reassembly” date for May 31st. We will be joining thousands of other churches in the state of California who have a strong conviction the church is essential, gathering together with safety precautions is possible, the Word of God places value upon gathering together, and the Constitution of the United States affords us this right that should never be infringed upon (even in the midst of crisis).

In March we joined most other churches in America in moving our services and activities to online only. We felt it was wise and prudent to heed the President’s original requests to do what was necessary to help flatten the curve. That has happened and it is time to move forward as a nation, as a community, and as a church.

We are reassembling on our church property on Sunday, May 31st for Pentecost Sunday at 10am.

We will observe social distancing guidelines before, during, and after each service. Everyone will be asked to observe the 6-ft rule at all times.

  • Wearing a face mask is optional.
  • People will have two options when they arrive:
    • To park and remain in their vehicle and tune into our FM radio frequency while still being present on the church property.
    • To bring their own lawn chairs and sit outside in the open air while maintaining social distancing.
  • There will NOT be separate kids ministry at this time, but children are welcome to attend the service with their family. We will distribute Grace Kids bags filled with activities that coincide with our services and snacks to keep them happy!
  • The service will continue to be streamed LIVE on Facebook, YouTube, our Grace App and website for anyone wishing to participate online.
  • If you’re sick, we ask that you please stay home and participate online.
  • If you’re in the high-risk category, please use your discretion knowing that you have the option of worshiping online.

We know there will be many questions, as well as praise and critiques. Just know there is no truly perfect way to check everyone’s expectation box, but we are moving forward with the best wisdom and care we can.

Thank you so much for being the best church in the world, for supporting the leadership of our church, and for keeping us lifted up in prayer. We are here to serve you and Jesus to the best of our abilities.

We love you all very much,
Matthew & Sabrina

Monday, May 6, 2020 SERVING OPPORTUNITIES

Hi Grace!!

We are going to make every Tuesday from 11a-1p a food collection day for the month of May. This will begin tomorrow, May 5th. Our goal is to collect enough food to start having a regularly scheduled food distribution once a month. You will park in the back parking lot and bring your items to the conference room door. We do ask that you do not leave donations outside of the church and unattended. If the drop off times do not work for you, please contact us and we can arrange something.

We are trying to be strategic about what foods to collect so that we are able to feed the most people, be cost effective for all of you that are donating, and not have anything go to waste.

For example, we would like to collect things like milk, eggs and fruit but we would have to collect these things on the collection date nearest to distribution so they do not ruin.

For now we are asking for:
Dry rice and beans
Dry/instant potatoes
Macaroni and cheese
Pasta and sauce
Canned vegetables
Canned soups
Canned/jarred fruits
Canned meats (chicken, tuna)
Oatmeals
Cereals
Bread
Peanut butter
Jelly
Protein/granola bars
Individual drink mixes

On the collection day closest to distribution we will ask for:
Milk
Eggs
Bananas, apples, oranges, potatoes
Frozen meat

If you know of any local resources that are available to help we are always open to hearing about those.

Thank you so much for being the church and helping to reach our community. Feel free to email us if you have any questions. Together, we can do so much more!

Blessings,
Mark+Rebecca Rodriguez

Monday, April 20, 2020 SERVING OPPORTUNITIES

Hello Grace Family,

First of all, we just want to say how much we miss all of you!! We are all really looking forward to being back together.

There are a few things we are going to do to reach our community and we need you to help us in spreading the word and being a part.

First, we will have a food and supplies collection day on Tuesday, April 21 from 11a-1pm and Friday, April 24th from 5-7pm. We are asking for donations of toilet paper, diapers, paper towels, noodles and sauce, dry rice and beans, bread, peanut butter & jelly, cereal, shelf stable milk, canned goods, and canned fruit. **You will park in the back parking lot and walk up to the back conference room door. There will be a table setup outside the door for you to set your donated items on. We will work to keep things sanitized and safe, as well as being mindful of distance between one another.

Then, Thursday April 23 & Tuesday April 28th (or while supplies last) between 11-1 will host distribution days. We will give out the non-perishable foods, diapers, toilet paper, and paper towels to those who need some or all or that. We will give pre-packaged bags so its quick and easy to grab and hand over to people.  Anyone who is in need is welcome. There are no requirements and this is open to all.

If you or someone you know could benefit from this, please come! Will you think through your list of friends and acquaintances and pass this information on to anyone that may need it?

I know it may be hard for some people to ask for help but I'm hoping if the word is spread, they will come and get the supplies they need.

Thank you for all you have done and for all that have donated already. It is so amazing to see your extravagant generosity during this time.

Blessings,
Mark + Rebecca Rodriguez

Monday, April 5, 2020 SERVING OPPORTUNITIES

Hello Grace Family,

We miss all of you so much and are praying for you during this time. We hope everyone is safe, healthy, and finding the positive in our current situation.

Our community needs us more than ever right now and this is a great time to BE THE CHURCH! We would love to see our church and families come together and get involved in blessing those who are in harms way and in need of resources.

Here are some ways you can help:

CAN YOU SEW?

Hospitals are in desperate need of masks! There are also some great tutorials online. JoAnn's actually has free fabric for this cause. CLICK HERE FOR WEBSITE INFO.

There are a ton of ways to make masks with scrap material, t-shirts, bandanas, and even socks. Hospitals will not allow anyone in right now, so if you are a healthcare worker and would like to collect and distribute these please let us know. Anyone interested in making masks can contact me and I can coordinate a time to drop off at the church.

BLESSING OUR GROCERY WORKERS

We can 2 simple things to show our gratitude:

  1. Make thank you cards! Get your kids involved, too. Make handmade cards, print them, or use store bought.  Whatever you have is great.
  2. Donate bottled waters & individual drink mix packets. (Ex. Starbucks Via, Crystal Light, Emergen-C, Zip Fizz, etc.)  CLICK HERE FOR EXAMPLES.

We can give these out with the thank you cards. This is inexpensive and practical.

They are working long hours and dealing with a lot of chaos. The least we can do is thank them and let them know they are noticed and appreciated.

If you would like to donate these things email me for a time to drop them off at the church.

If you work in a grocery or retail store please reply to this email. We would love to send these things with you to distribute.

SAN DIEGO BLOOD BANK

The good news is they have had an amazing and overwhelming response from the community and don't need any new donation locations and are not in dire need of blood anymore. What they DO need...volunteers to help with crowd control, enforcing space & distance and pre-screening questions.

They have North County locations in Vista and Escondido. If you would like to be involved in this please contact me for more information.

CONTACTING ELDERLY, SENIORS AND IMMUNE COMPROMISED

If you know someone who is in one of these categories, please contact them to see what their needs are. We have non-perishable foods, toilet paper, and more we can distribute to those in need. We also have people who will make store runs for them. Offer to pray with them and make sure they know we can help.

If you would like to make phone calls, donate items, or run errands for those in need, let us know.

If you can help in any capacity please reach out to me via email at rebecca@gracesd.tv or text me at
817-723-9913.

What may seem small and insignificant to you could be a huge blessing to someone else. Thank you all!!

Blessings,

Monday, April 5, 2020 GRACE + GRIT UPDATE

Friday, April 4, 2020 UPDATE

We are still here and we are still online. Although it may be ideal, we are choosing to look on the bright side of all of this. We are reaching more people online than ever before with the gospel of Jesus Christ. That is because people like you are sharing, engaging, and tuning into our online services, zoom groups, and Facebook/Instagram Live events. Thank you for being the church, deployed into our neighborhoods and computer screens!

Easter will be online this year. Along with our Sunday morning online service and kids experiences, we are also hosting a special Zoom call with the kids with special guests, Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf from Frozen II! Keep on the lookout for all the details on how to sign on and a few things we will want your kids to be ready with so they can interact with our characters and kids leaders. It is going to be so special.

Every week we are sending an email at 9am PST that includes links to our online services. They are also available on our Grace App, Grace Facebook and our new Grace North County YouTube channel.

And we are still collecting items for those in need. Specifically canned foods, toilet paper and paper towels. If you have any to spare, arrange a time to drop off your donations at the church with jessica@gracesd.tv. And if you are in need of any items, please reach out to our outreach director at rebecca@gracesd.tv and she will see if we can accommodate and arrange a time to get them to you.

We also want you to reach out if you need prayer. View the images below for how to do that easily and it will reach us!

We love you and prayer,
Matthew & Sabrina

Friday, March 20, 2020 UPDATE

Our Grace Kids Team had a problem to solve: how do we continue to do meaningful church experiences for our kids while our campus is closed? We are thrilled to announce our partnership with other church to bring you video services JUST FOR YOUR KIDS!!! These videos will include worship, a message, interactive elements, discussion time, and more! Each video is approximately 30 minutes long and consists of four different video options that reach different age groups from ages two through 6th grade. Will have the available for you every Sunday, at least through Eater.

We hope you enjoy these. Be on the lookout for them in your inbox, on our Grace App, Grace Facebook and our new Grace North County YouTube channel following our Sunday morning online service at 9am.

We also want you to reach out if you need assistance and prayer. View the images below for how to do that easily and it will reach us!

We love you and are praying for you all.

Friday, March 13, 2020 UPDATE

Dear Grace Family,

We have spent a lot of time in prayer and preparation for the upcoming weekend. However, in light of the growing national concerns and precautions many organizations are taking as they pertain to the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) and in response to state and local officials to limit large gatherings, the leadership of Grace Church has decided not to hold public services this weekend.

Instead we will hold our weekend service online only.

This is a great opportunity to gather in your home with your family and worship together as you watch online. Our weekend service will air Sunday, March 15th, 9am (pst) and can be replayed any time after that.

You can join us on Facebook for a live service at www.facebook.com/gracenorthcounty.

For many, the spread of this virus has caused fear and anxiety. Yet we are grateful that the Bible tells us, “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that you would sense God’s peace in the midst of these difficult circumstances. This does not mean we should be careless or reactionary but rather walk in wisdom as we serve the Lord and our community in a way that demonstrates our trust in God and our love for people.

We love you and are praying for you and your families’ continued safety and well-being and for all those who have been affected by this virus. We’re also praying for a cure from heaven and for our medical community as they deal with the impact of this crisis.

We will continue to keep you updated on future Sunday and Midweek services.

You can also continue to give by visiting www.gracesd.tv/give or mailing in your check to Grace Church, 1602 S El Camino Real, Oceanside, CA 92056.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. If you have any concerns, please contact us at (760) 433-9922 or email us at info@gracesd.tv.

Many Blessings,
Matthew & Sabrina
